Paying it Forward

As we move to the close of the semester, how do you plan to
pay your new knowledge forward?

Can we really end hunger in Ohio?

Will you work with the Kent Campus Kitchen?

  1. The knowledge i have gained will be used to either volunteer more often at food service centers or letting other people know that there are serious issues regarding hunger in todays society.

i don't believe we can end hunger in ohio, but we can both take measures to further prevent it and combat it. there will always be hungry people. the most we can do is make a large amount of aid available.

possibly? if i ever received information about it.

  2. I will try to get evolved in more community services and encourage my friends to join in together in order to help hunger people.

Hunger is not an easy issue to solve, but I believe if people increasingly devote more to the hunger issue, the hunger problem will be eventually solved.

If I can receive the information, I am really willing to take part in

  3. I will try to use my new knowledge to help others in my community. I will work more to help end hunger by donating more time and food, because of my new knowledge. I will also spread my new knowledge to others by telling friends and hopefully they will do the same and it will spread to more and more people. I also believe that hunger will never be an easy issue to solve but it will be possible. I think one step will be to spread the knowledge about hunger that we have learned in this class, eventually it will spread. I also think that the best way to solve hunger will be to fight the source. All the soup kitchens in the world will not permenantly solve hunger. There needs to be more to help establish a permenant food supply i believe things like food cooperatives and job help will provide the best results. I would be very interested in doing work with the kent campus kitchen.

  4. As this semester closes, I will take the new knowledge I've aquired and become more aware of the issues surrounding food. I will try to do my best to not waste food and get the others around me to not waste food. I will try to volunteer more in my community and places around me to help those in need. Our world has to make a lot of changes to stop hunger from growing. It will take time and a lot of effort but I do think this problem can be stopped. If I received information about the Kitchen I would be interested in volunteering.

  5. I plan on passing on all of the information that i have learned in this class to anyone that will listen. I think that not passing on what i have learned in this class would be as if i didn't learn it at all.

I do not think that it is possible to end hunger in Ohio, but is mosre realistic then ending world hunger. In order for hunger to end everybody needs to help out, and that i feel is impossible because realisticly, not everyone cares. The involvement of everybody in the state over a few thousand is what is needed.

Participating in the Kent Campus Kitchen is possible for just about everybody, but it would be hard to participate regularly because we are all college students. I do however think or hope that there are a lot of people who will participate in it because it is a great cause.

  6. With my knowledge I will try to volunteer more and learn more about the food industry. Also I am going to try to get people together to work towards getting better food for students on campus. Truthfully, I do not think that we can end hunger in Ohio. There are to many people who are lazy and do not want to get out and help others. I feel like the only way to end it would to get everyone together and that would be almost impossible to do. I would help out with Kent Campus Kitchen if I could get more information about it and if I could manage my time well enough to fit it into my schedule.

  7. I will use what I have learned in this class to try and raise awareness. I will also definitely eat less fast food and try to eat healthier.

I don't think we can end hunger in Ohio, but with a lot of work we can greatly decrease hunger.

I would work with the Kent campus kitchen I believe that it is a very good program.

  8. Now that i know more about the food i eat and the issues with racism and hunger there are many things that i plan on doing diffrently. Now i have a better understanding of the problems with racism and how it is still going on in todays society.as for food i mean currently im not in a situation to better my eating habit but when i do get the chance i plan on making a drastic change in the food i eat. this course has also enlightened me on the global issue of hunger and how hunger isnt just the face of starving kids in africa but the many faces you see in your neighborhood. I have always been fond of president obama but now that i have read his book i feel as if it gave me a better incite on who is leading our countries nation i believe is is best fit for office seeing that he as great cultural diversity.

no i dont think hunger can be eliminated but it can be control it takes effort from everybody to ensure the well being of their neighbors

yes i would be delighted to work with the campus kitchen

  9. i plan on spreading the word to as many people as i can, by using meathods such as the text five people to text five more people.I also will try to voulenter more at the food banks, and place that hlp hunger.I do beleive that we can stop hunger in ohio, we waste just about enough food to feed all those hungry people, it would just take some dedicatd people to step up and start the movment. Too be honest i probalynot work in the campus kitchen, but i wont count it out.
